GENEVA, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) helps improve local infrastructure and supports the provisions of essential services in more than 60 countries and regions, so it contributes to global humanitarian work, said the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
